Registering tardy students in the morning

Preparing notification for families of tardy students

Checking attendance with educators or in new system in the morning and informing leadership team

Triaging students who are sent out of class to the co-worning during class time and directing them to the right person

Supporting the supervision of breaks, lunch and assemblies

Updating systems with all actions, consequences, contacts with families daily and sharing update with leadership team

Take meeting minutes in high stakes situations with Dean and Counsellors

Support the dean, counsellors and other members of the leadership team in preparing behaviour and academic data for parent meetings

Creating and updating board /spreadsheet with students at risk, students, students on plans, shout outs, recognition programs and other behavioral interventions.

Requesting important behaviour and academic data from educators to prepare documentation for parent meetings on behalf of all members of the leadership team

Support the dean and counsellors in the execution of action plans in preparation for follow up meetings

Supporting the organization of assemblies and meetings, making sure everything needed will be available and working properly.

Registering all occurrences in the system and informing the leadership team - regular data updates

Filling out the written warnings and suspensions

Setting up meetings with families for the Dean and counselors regarding discipline issues 

Making sure all learners who are sent out of class are heard and reflection forms are filled out correctly under the right name. 

Initiating conversation and reflection with learners who were suspended when the Dean is not available. 

Providing support to students as needed

Having an active role as an educator in the school community.

Qualifications 

Degree in Education

Teaching certificate

Graduate diploma or masters in Education/Counseling or Equivalent

Experience 

Knowledge of adolescent development and educational psychology

Knowledge and experience with positive discipline

Knowledge and experience of non violent language

Knowledge and experience with mediation and restorative practices

Digitally fluent 

Skills
